LUKOIL TO SUPPORT DEVELOPMENT OF TRAVEL INDUSTRY IN MOSCOW AND KHANTY-MANSI AUTONOMOUS DISTRICT - YUGRA

​​ A three-party Agreement on Cooperation in Tourism was signed by Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin, Governor of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District - Yugra Natalya Komarova and President of PJSC LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov.

The parties agreed to organize tourist routes in Moscow, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District - Yugra and Kogalym as part of the 'City of Discoveries' educational project, 'Travel Yugra' and other projects as well as to increase mutual tourist flows. The Agreement also calls for schoolchildren and volunteer exchange programs, the active development of children, youth and family tours.

The Agreement will strengthen cooperation between players in the tourist industry, non-governmental organizations and educational institutions, develop tourist attactions in Moscow, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District - Yugra and Kogalym as well as provide for improving quality of tourism services and rational use of recreational resources in these regions.​

LUKOIL has been actively developing tourism and recreational potential of Kogalym. Owed to its unique public amenities built with LUKOIL's support such as Galaktika sports and culture center featuring a greenhouse, aquarium and an aquapark, the branch of the State Academic Maly Theater, cultural and exhibition centre of the Russian Museum and the Church of the Holy Martyr Tatiana with her relics, Kogalym has become one of the most visited tourist destinations of West Siberia. Only during six months of 2021, almost 85,000 people visited the city, which is 14% more than the whole pre-pandemic 2019 year.

The municipal hospital of Kogalym, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District - Yugra, received a consignment of personal protective equipment for medical staff, purchased by LUKOIL as part of the agreement between the company and the Government of Yugra, concluded to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease.
