London, 29 March 2021 - Playtech, the world's leading gambling technology company, today announces that it has secured a long-term lease for its first Live Casino studio in the US, providing one of the largest live entertainment studios in Michigan.

This state-of-the-art studio will feature Playtech's best in class technology and video capabilities from its flagship Riga studio. The scale of Playtech's offering means it can offer integrated live content across retail and online channels and across product verticals, delivering live iGaming entertainment never seen before in the US market. The studio will deliver bespoke areas for operator dedicated tables and networked tables, with room to grow and expand to support Playtech's US expansion.

The Playtech Live Casino studio is situated in Southfield, which is fast becoming Michigan's leading technology and innovation hub and is an approved location by the Michigan regulator. The studio will not only bring Playtech's industry leading live entertainment and gameshow content to the burgeoning iGaming market in Michigan, but it will also provide local employment opportunities to the community of Southfield.

The confirmation of Playtech's first US live entertainment studio is the latest milestone in Playtech's US roadmap, as the leading technology supplier executes on its strategy to deliver its software and services to every regulated state in the US. The news follows the announcement in February of a strategic partnership to supply Parx Casino with multiple products across Playtech's IMS Platform which will commence with the launch of online casino in Michigan.

Shimon Akad, Chief Operating Officer at Playtech, said: 'The new studio in Michigan is the first step in our US Live expansion as we look to deliver Live studios in all regulated states. Our Michigan studio is being designed to be one of the more sophisticated studios tailored to the US market featuring innovation and entertainment at its best. The scale of our technology and breadth of our product will allow Playtech to take the live iGaming experience in the US to the next level.

At Playtech, we pride ourselves in being a key member of all our communities and we are thrilled to be bringing employment opportunities to local communities as part of our expansion in the US. With the effects of the global pandemic still felt in markets across the globe it is more important than ever we support our local industries and communities.'
