POLARIS UNO, Inc. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported net income was KRW 4,046.45 million compared to KRW 851.22 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was KRW 77.75 compared to KRW 16.25 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was KRW 71 compared to KRW 16.25 a year ago. For the six months, sales was KRW 141.38 million compared to KRW 10.88 million a year ago. Net income was KRW 4,078.91 million compared to KRW 2,705.68 million a year ago. Polaris Uno Inc, formerly Uno&Company Ltd, is a Korea-based company engaged in the manufacturing of wig fibers and chemicals. The Company operates its businesses through two segments. The Synthetic Yarn Business segment provides wig fibers, including polyvinyl chloride (PVC) wig fibers and nonflammable polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fibers, which are used for wigs, hair extensions, hair accessories and others. The Chemical Business segment provides monomers for eyeglass lenses required for the manufacturing of plastic eyeglass lenses for vision correction, label adhesives for labeling glass bottles, optical films, color-changing dyes and others. The Company distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets, including China, Southeast Asia, Africa and other areas.
