Polylite Taiwan Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2019. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 133.399 million compared to TWD 101.842 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 6.215 million compared to operating loss of TWD 4.939 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 21.631 million compared to TWD 35.390 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.46 compared to TWD 0.76 a year ago. For the half year, sales was TWD 286.437 million compared to TWD 214.896 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 11.564 million compared to operating loss of TWD 11.504 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 41.948 million compared to TWD 43.658 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.9 compared to TWD 0.94 a year ago.
Polylite Taiwan Co., Ltd. is a Taiwan-based company primarily engaged in the research and development, manufacture and distribution of optical lenses. The Company's lenses are made of polycarbonate (PC) and other materials. Its products mainly include vision correction use optical lenses, polarized lenses, coated lenses, dust free lenses, photochromic lenses and anti-blue lenses, among others. The Company distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets.
