Procter & Gamble Co. has tapped Shailesh Jejurikar to become president of its Global Fabric Care division. The promotion is effective Nov.

1, 2015, when David Taylor succeeds A.G. Lafley as CEO of the company. Jejurikar also will assume the role of leader of Home Care Brand Building. Jejurikar already works at the downtown headquarters of the company, where he has been president of the North America Fabric Care division since October 2014.

He and his team are credited with restoring the North America Fabric Care division to growth for the first time in five years. Jejurikar will report to Giovanni Ciserani, group president for Global Fabric and Home Care. Jejurikar previously spent more than four years as vice president of P&G's North America Home Care business.

Jejurikar also served as marketing director for Fabric & Home Care in Asia and the United States before being named a general manager in 2005 for Fabric & Home Care in Asia. He became a vice president in 2008.
