Qingdao Port News Center On July 28th, as the valve opened, 105,000 tons of crude oil from South America was transported to Qirun Petrochemical from the Dongjiakou Port Area of Qingdao Port through the long-distance pipeline, which marked the precommercial operation of the Dongjiakou Port-Weifang-Central and Northern Shandong Oil Pipeline Construction (Phase II) Project ('Dongwei Pipeline Project').

Dongwei Pipeline (Phase I) Project was put into operation in August 2017, with the starting point of the Dongjiakou Port Area and ending point of Binhai New Area of Weifang, Shandong Province. Dongwei Pipeline (Phase II) Project continued from the Phase I and extended its construction, passing Weifang, Dongying and Binzhou, which are three municipal cities of Shandong Province, and also passing the Weiguang pipeline, the Jingbo branch pipeline and Qirun branch pipeline, among which, the Weiguang pipeline started from Binhai oil tank, Weifang of Dongwei Pipeline (Phase I) Project and ended in the Guangrao oil tank, Dongying of Dongwei Pipeline (Phase II) Project, and the Qirun branch pipeline started from the distribution station of Weiguang pipeline located in the north of Rongwu expressway and ended in the Qirun oil tank.

After the completion of Dongwei Pipeline (Phase I) Project, the oil pipeline of Qingdao Port will serve the local oil refineries of Weifang, Dongying and Binzhou of Shandong Province, ending the history that the local refineries had no access to pipeline but only to oil tanker. The pipeline has connected the crude oil terminal and oil tank group of Qingdao Port with the local refineries.
