Booking Holdings said Ewout Steenbergen, the chief financial officer of ratings agency and data provider S&P Global, will take over as CFO of the travel-booking conglomerate in March.

Steenbergen will succeed David Goulden, who Booking said earlier this year would transition to a different role once the company found a successor. Steenbergen will officially join on March 15.

Steenbergen was appointed CFO of S&P Global in 2016. Before that, he was CFO of Voya Financial.

"Booking Holdings sits at the epicenter of digital travel innovation, and I am pleased to be joining the company at such an exciting time for the industry and its stakeholders," Steenbergen said.

Booking owns various digital properties across travel booking and restaurant reservations. It counts OpenTable, Kayak, Priceline and others among its sites.
