Ovako Sweden AB announced to sign an agreement with SaltX Technology and SMA Mineral to switch to climate-neutral lime for its steel production. The collaboration begins with a joint pre-study planned for the first quarter 2024. SMA Mineral and SaltX have previously entered agreements with SSAB and Norwegian Celsa Armeringsstål in 2023.
Now Ovako Sweden joins these companies in their efforts to reduce carbon emissions in steel production by using climate-neutral lime.
