Sankyo Tateyama, Inc. (TSE:5932) concluded a contract to acquire furniture store business from Kokuyo Co., Ltd. (TSE:7984) for ¥1.7 billion on September 27, 2017. Sankyo Tateyama, Inc. will make the payment in cash on December 29, 2017. The Board of Directors of Sankyo Tateyama, Inc. and Kokuyo Co., Ltd. approved the transaction on September 27, 2017. The transaction is expected to be completed on January 1, 2018. Nijubashi General Accounting Office acted as third party appraiser to Sankyo Tateyama. Daiwa Institute of Research, Ltd. acted as third party appraiser for Kokuyo Co., Ltd.

Sankyo Tateyama, Inc. is mainly engaged in the manufacture and distribution of construction materials and other materials. The Company operates in four business segments. Material segment involves in the casting, extrusion, processing and sale of aluminum and magnesium. Commercial Facilities segment involves in the sale of general-purpose display fixtures for shops, the manufacture and sale of standard billboards and other types of billboards, and the maintenance of shops and related equipment. International segment involves in the casting, extrusion, processing and sales of aluminum overseas.
