Saregama India Limited reported earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year ended March 31, 2023. For the fourth quarter, the company reported sales was INR 2,074.1 million compared to INR 1,802.4 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 2,320.9 million compared to INR 1,990.8 million a year ago. Net income was INR 492.8 million compared to INR 482.1 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 2.56 compared to INR 2.5 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 2.56 compared to INR 2.5 a year ago.
For the full year, sales was INR 7,513.3 million compared to INR 5,806.3 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 8,123.9 million compared to INR 6,155.4 million a year ago. Net income was INR 1,892.8 million compared to INR 1,526 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 9.83 compared to INR 8.43 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 9.83 compared to INR 8.42 a year ago.
Saregama India Limited is an India-based music label, film studio and multi-language television content producer. The Company's segments include Music, Films/Television Serials and Events. The Music segment is primarily engaged in the business of manufacturing and sale of music storage devices, such as Music Card, Audio Compact Discs, Digital Versatile Discs and dealing with related music rights. The Film/ Television Serials segment is also engaged in production and sale/telecast/broadcast of films/ television serials, pre-recorded programs and dealing in film rights. The Company is global owner of both sound recording and publishing copyrights of Indian music across 14 different languages. Its portfolio includes intellectual property rights of over 4000 hours of television content produced for channels in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Bengali languages. Yoodlee Films is its film production venture.
