Schroders today announces the appointment of Alex Tedder to Co-Head of Equities, alongside broader public markets-focused investment promotions, demonstrating the strength of its internal talent and commitment to meeting clients' investment needs through active management.

Alex Tedder will now lead the equities business alongside Rory Bateman while Mark Lacey has been appointed Head of Thematic Equities and Simon Webber has been promoted to Head of Global Equities.

Alex Tedder, a veteran investor with over 25 years' experience investing in global equity markets, will oversee the global, quantitative and developed market investment desks while the Asian and Emerging Markets investment teams will continue to report into Rory Bateman.

In this new role, Alex will also retain his portfolio management responsibilities, underscoring his commitment to leadership and investment management.

Mark will continue his current portfolio management responsibilities, ensuring the same level of dedication and attention to detail that has defined his career to date.

Global equities

Simon Webber, a seasoned global investor, will provide both investment and leadership, leveraging his extensive experience as part of his expanded role.

Simon joined Schroders in 1999 and has built strong expertise across a range of global markets and sectors spanning technology, industrials, utilities, autos, telecoms, and consumer discretionary. Notably, he has led Schroders' Global Climate Change strategy since its inception in 2007 and he will continue with his current portfolio management responsibilities.
