TORONTO (AP) _ Seabridge Gold Inc. (SA) on Friday reported a loss of $2.2 million in its fourth quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Toronto-based company said it had a loss of 4 cents.

For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $8.8 million, or 14 cents per share.

Seabridge Gold shares have dropped 29% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Friday, shares hit $9.84, a decline of 31% in the last 12 months.
