SES announced on Monday that it has been selected to provide on-board connectivity services to the Asian cruise operator Resorts World Cruises.

Under the terms of the contract, SES plans to deploy its medium-earth orbit (MEO) and low-earth orbit (LEO) telecommunications capacity to Resorts World's flagship Genting Dream.

The agreement is expected to provide passengers with access to digital broadband entertainment, online shopping and dining options.

A second ship, Resorts World One, is expected to be involved in a second phase.

SES underlines that Resorts World Cruises becomes the first cruise operator in Asia to use its SES Cruise mPowered + Starlink Pro Service technology, launched last year.

Following this announcement, SES shares were up 2% on Monday morning on the Paris Bourse.
