Edward Bramson's Sherborne Investors Sells Entire Barclays Stake

Activist investor Edward Bramson's Sherborne Investors said Friday that it has sold its entire 6.01% shareholding in British bank Barclays PLC.

Sherborne Investors (Guernsey) C Ltd. said it has been notified by Sherborne Investors Management LP that funds managed by it have disposed their stake in the bank.

Sherborne Investors believes that the risk of and rewards from a new investment opportunity that it has identified offer a better return than a continuing investment in Barclays, Sherborne Investors (Guernsey) C said. Sherborne Investors has started investment into securities of its new target company, Sherborne Investors (Guernsey) C said.
