Shiny Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was TWD 3,001.14 million compared to TWD 2,721.35 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 486.08 million compared to TWD 433.43 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 1.94 compared to TWD 1.73 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 1.94 compared to TWD 1.73 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was TWD 6,047.56 million compared to TWD 5,015.15 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 966.79 million compared to TWD 811.43 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 3.87 compared to TWD 3.25 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 3.85 compared to TWD 3.23 a year ago.
Shiny Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd. is a Taiwan-based company primarily engaged in the manufacture and sales of chemical solvent series products and the trading of raw chemical materials. The Company's solvent series products include electronic grade solvents, industrial grade solvents and formaldehyde series products. The electronic grade solvents include normal butyl acetate, propylene glycol monomethyl ether and acetone. The industrial grade solvents include normal butyl acetate, shinytate, normal propyl acetate, Ibo-Butyl acetate and others. The formaldehyde series products include formalin, urea glue, melamine glue and others. The Company distributes its products in domestic market and to overseas markets, including Korea, Vietnam, Hong Kong and other areas.
