With Siemens AG, a new prominent industrial partner has moved into the research campus in Garching near Munich.

Siemens opened the new Technology Center on April 17th in the immediate vicinity of the software giant SAP. Together with around 150 employees from the Technical University of Munich, more than 450 researchers will work on digitalization solutions here. The campus in the so-called Isar Valley offers ideal conditions for this: industrial companies, tech companies, startups, the Fraunhofer Society and the elite universities LMU and TUM build a bridge between science and business here. The consulting firm Drees & Sommer SE, which specializes in construction and real estate, supported Siemens in the construction of the Technology Center.
