SILKWAVE Inc. announced that it has successfully commenced its trial service in Indonesia for providing satellite-WiFi last-mile connectivity villages and remote communities. The trial has started in two locations, one in Jakarta, and one in West Java. Along with local village enterprise partner PT Bum Desa, local telecom partner Telkomsat, and equipment vendor CreatComm from China, the Company deployed an end-to-end mesh network solution that could incorporate Starlink's satellite broadband connectivity and the Company's multimedia streaming to form a bundled digital service that in turn can be re-distributed point to multi-points to village households.

Test results had shown satisfactory reception of satellite signals via the WiFi hotspot and extended to signal receiver located from miles away. Certain technical glitches remain to be worked out to increase the efficiency of signal propagation over much larger areas. The advantage of the Company's solution lies in the fact that it can turn a single satellite equipment and service setup into a WiFi hotspot that many more users can access with high efficiency, hence greatly lowering the cost per household.

The Company is currently testing satellite broadband connectivity, and later will add in satellite multimedia broadcasting, thus users will be able to enjoy bundled two-way Internet and abundant free streaming of live TV, music, video, social media, data services, and Internet websites on their individual devices, which will be a ground-breaking service for many Indonesian remote village village. The solution, will be replicated across many villages in Indonesia. Indonesia has over 80,000 villages and 17,500 islands.

Working with local partners, the Company will effectively operate an alternative village telecom-media provider with a significant franchise in Indonesia. Revenue model is expected to include service subscriptions, media advertising, and eCommerce.
