Skanska invests about SEK 350 million in a sustainable office project on Universitetsholmen in central Malmö, Sweden. The office building Oas comprises 7 floors and will have a leasable area of approximately 7,500 square meters. In Oas, each office tenant will have their own balcony and access to a common roof terrace adapted for outdoor work. On the entrance level there will be rooms for public activities as well as bicycle hotels, showers and changing rooms to facilitate sustainable travel. The building is designed to encourage a healthy and sustainable lifestyle for both people, companies, and nature and is health certified according to WELL and sustainability certified according to LEED version 4, level Platinum. Skanska continues its work towards climate neutrality and the project strives for a significantly reduced climate footprint. Oas has the ambition to be certified according to NollCo2, with the goal of achieving a net-zero climate impact during its lifetime. Construction work has begun and is planned to be completed during the first quarter of 2024.
