SkiStar AB (publ) reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended February 28, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was SEK 2,349.87 million compared to SEK 2,177.65 million a year ago. Revenue was SEK 2,366.24 million compared to SEK 2,195.37 million a year ago. Net income was SEK 730.6 million compared to SEK 750.42 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was SEK 9.32 compared to SEK 9.62 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was SEK 9.32 compared to SEK 9.62 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was SEK 2,527.02 million compared to SEK 2,332.56 million a year ago. Revenue was SEK 2,547.41 million compared to SEK 2,353.08 million a year ago. Net income was SEK 340.66 million compared to SEK 439.42 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was SEK 4.35 compared to SEK 5.61 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was SEK 4.35 compared to SEK 5.61 a year ago.
SkiStar AB is a Sweden-based company active in the leisure and recreation industry. It is primarily engaged in the management of mountain ski resorts in Hemsedal and Trysil, in Norway, as well as in Salen, Are and Vemdalen, in Sweden. The Companyâs activities are divided into two business areas: Destinations and Property Development. The Destinations area is responsible for the skiing services, mediation of accommodation, ski school and ski rentals. The Property Development area operates through wholly owned subsidiaries, named Fjallinvest AB and Fjellinvest Norge AS, which manage accommodation properties for hire, own land for development and have a stake in a jointly-owned real estate entities operating at SkiStarâs destinations. Furthermore, the Company is a parent of Salens Hogfjallshotell AB, Tandadalens Fjallhotell Service AB, and Are Invest AB, among others.
