PITTSBURGH (AP) _ Kraft Heinz Co. (KHC) on Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $733 million.

The Pittsburgh-based company said it had net income of 59 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 65 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 58 cents per share.

The maker of Oscar Mayer meats, Jell-O pudding and Velveeta cheese posted revenue of $6.32 billion in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $6.14 billion.
