Fitwel Awards UL Solutions Best in Building Health and Top 20 Ambassadors Awards

UL Solutions helps customers demonstrate occupant health and well-being requirements to achieve Fitwel certifications.

UL Solutions Inc. (NYSE: ULS), a global leader in applied safety science, today announced that for the third year running, it received two 2024 Fitwel Best in Building Health awards and two Top 20 Ambassadors List awards from Fitwel.

Fitwel is a people-centric healthy building certification system and data-driven insights platform rooted in evidence-based strategies that promote health and wellness through the built environment. It was created in partnership with the United States (U.S.) Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and is operated by the nonprofit research organization Center for Active Design (CfAD).

UL Solutions was named the winner in the Greatest Number of Certifications (Consultant) category and the Highest Scoring Project Community v2.1 (Built) category for the Central Park residential tower in Beijing, China, for achievements in 2023. The awards recognize UL Solutions' leadership and progress in advancing occupant health and well-being in the built environment.

Fitwel's Best in Building Health Awards honor best-in-class companies and individuals leading the healthy building movement by example. In addition to companies, Fitwel's Best in Building Health Awards spotlight individuals from the Fitwel global community of more than 4,500 Fitwel Ambassadors - including architects, sustainability professionals, engineers and designers - for their efforts in high-scoring healthy building certifications, among other achievements.

Two UL Solutions sustainability project managers in the Healthy Buildings group, Jack Hudd and Travis Black, were named to the 2024 Fitwel Top 20 Ambassadors List. Fitwel selected Hudd and Black for demonstrating exemplary engagement, leadership and achievements in leveraging Fitwel globally over the past year on behalf of UL Solutions.
