Unibap AB (publ) has received a follow-on order from The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) to provide next generation SpaceCloud® solutions for Earth Observation satellite mission. The order value is 71,500 EUR, with delivery scheduled for March in 2023. JAXA has placed a contract with Unibap to use SpaceCloud® infrastructure on one Earth Observation (EO) satellite mission scheduled for launch in 2024.

JAXA will utilize Unibap's solutions in the mission to enable in-orbit cloud services, storage, and edge data processing of EO data. This agreement is the second step to on-board SpaceCloud systems onto JAXA missions and according to the agreement Unibap will deliver engineering model hardware of the next generation SpaceCloud infrastructure solution iX10. Jaxa has earlier procured development equipment from Unibap AB.

The order is organized through Unibap's international distribution chain through NASAM K.K. of Japan.
