Veidekke has signed a contract with Sartor Holding AS to build the Nygatakvartalet at Straume in Oygarden municipality.

The project consists of two buildings with a total of 75 apartments for rent and business premises. The assignment is a total contract worth close to NOK 210 million excl. VAT.

Veidekke has been involved in building Kystbyen on Straume and shaping the new center area in Oygarden municipality right from the start. The Nygatakvartalet project has been long-awaited in the rental market with a good variety in the type of apartments where many apartments are adapted to older users. One building will consist of business premises on the first floor and an apartment hotel with 55 apartments in the rest of the building. The second building will have two floors with business premises and 20 apartments for rent on top.

One of the nicest things for us at Veidekke is when we get the opportunity to use our creativity, our expertise and, through close interaction with the customer, manage to create great projects that the market wants. The collaboration with Sartor Holding has been developed over many years, and we very much appreciate the trust we have once again been given to develop and build yet another project together. When the Nygatakvartalet is now underway, we turn to the next page in the 'book' together and start the development of the next project and a new exciting journey, says district manager Thor Smabrekke in Veidekke Bygg Bergen.

The project will start immediately. Construction is expected to start during June and occupancy in February 2025.
