For the first three months of 2024, public services giant Veolia reports recurring EBIT of 843 million euros and EBITDA of 1.62 billion euros, up 11.1% and 5.7% respectively on a like-for-like basis.
In addition to operational efficiency and synergies, this increase was fueled by organic sales growth (+3.9% excluding the effect of changes in energy prices), which totaled nearly 11.6 billion euros.
The company boasts "very good sales momentum both in the businesses identified as boosters in the GreenUp strategic plan (water technologies, hazardous waste, bioenergies and energy efficiency), and in the historical core businesses".
Veolia therefore confirms its objectives for 2024, including organic EBITDA growth of +5 to +6% and net income before non-recurring items, group share, in excess of 1.5 billion euros, as well as its 'GreenUp' outlook for the period 2024-27.
