Vodafone Group PLC - Newbury, Berkshire-based telecommunications provider - Says that Vodafone Business division and e& have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly market, sell and service businesses and public sector organisations to support their digital transformations. e&, or Emirates Telecommunications Group Company PJSC, is a United Arab Emirates-based technology and investment company.

The memorandum follows a partnership between the two companies announced back in May. Al-Futtaim Group, a Dubai-based conglomerate, will be their first customer, as it looks to expand in new markets.

Fanan Henriques, Vodafone Business International and EU-Cluster Director, says: "I am delighted that Al-Futtaim Group has chosen the new Vodafone Business and e& partnership to usher in a new era of connectivity. We are a powerful force that can help accelerate the pace of digital transformation for many customers. We will now target the growth opportunities presented by the emergence of key trading corridors between the Middle East and Europe, and favourable regional macroeconomic policies incentivising the deployment of digital infrastructure across both private and public sectors."
