Waseda Academy Co., Ltd. agreed to acquire Yoji Mirai Kyoiku Co., Ltd. from Motoko Ayamori and Yuri Akaike.

Waseda Academy Co., Ltd. (TSE:4718) agreed to acquire Yoji Mirai Kyoiku Co., Ltd. from Motoko Ayamori and Yuri Akaike on January 25, 2024. As part of transaction, 70 shares will be acquired. For period ended March 2023, Yoji Mirai Kyoiku reported sales of ¥103 million.
Singing of contract is scheduled on January 31, 2024. The transaction is expected to complete on January 31, 2024.
WASEDA ACADEMY CO.,LTD. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in education-related businesses and real estate leasing business. The Company operates through two business segments. The Education-related business provides exam preparation education for students, sells English education lessons and educational contents. The preparatory study work operates in the Tokyo metropolitan area, including Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Chiba, and Ibaraki prefectures. It provides instruction for elementary, middle and high school students in Ibaraki Prefecture with Mito Academy. It operates exam preparation schools for medical and dentistry for junior high school students, high school students and high school graduates, under name of Noda Kuruse. It provides education for elementary, middle and high school students in Chiba Prefecture with QUARD. The Real Estate Leasing business is engaged in the rental of residential and commercial real estate properties, and part of the school building properties.
