Waste Connections, Inc. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2021. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was USD 1,597.17 million compared to USD 1,389.55 million a year ago. Net income was USD 114.38 million compared to USD 158.05 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.44 compared to USD 0.6 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.44 compared to USD 0.6 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was USD 4,527.04 million compared to USD 4,047.74 million a year ago. Net income was USD 451.74 million compared to USD 74.01 million a year ago. Waste Connections, Inc. is a Canada-based integrated solid waste services company. Its residential services include residential garbage pickup, residential yard waste, residential recycling, residential dumpster rental, bulk pickup, and portable toilets. Its commercial services include commercial business waste collection, commercial recycling, shredding, commercial roll off dumpster rental, and others. It also provides non-hazardous oilfield waste treatment, recovery and disposal services in several basins across the United States, as well as intermodal services for the movement of cargo and solid waste containers in the Pacific Northwest.
