Welbe, Inc. (TSE:6556) entered into an agreement to acquire Happiness Comes Co., Ltd. from Naoyuki Shibata for ¥279.2 million on September 29, 2022. The board of directors of Welbe approved the transaction. Happiness Comes Co recorded net profit of ¥3.131 million for the year ended March 31, 2022. The expected closing date for the transaction is October 4, 2022 when the shares would be transferred.

Welbe, Inc. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in provision of disability welfare services. The employment transition support business provides employment training, including preparation and correction of application forms, mock interview and practical training in workplace. The business also provides specific consultation support and independence training for people with disabilities. The rehabilitation business provides instruction for growth and development for pre-school children with developmental disorders and lesson support for primary school students, junior high school students, and high school students after school classes and during long vacation.
