Yum China Holdings, Inc. reported earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2023. For the fourth quarter, the company reported sales was USD 2,343 million compared to USD 1,975 million a year ago. Revenue was USD 2,493 million compared to USD 2,088 million a year ago. Net income was USD 97 million compared to USD 53 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.23 compared to USD 0.13 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.23 compared to USD 0.13 a year ago.
For the full year, sales was USD 10,391 million compared to USD 9,110 million a year ago. Revenue was USD 10,978 million compared to USD 9,569 million a year ago. Net income was USD 827 million compared to USD 442 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.99 compared to USD 1.05 a year ago. Yum China Holdings Inc is a China-based company mainly engaged in the provision of restaurant business. The Company operates its business through three segments. The Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) segment operates quick-service restaurant (QSR), mainly providing original recipe chicken and other chicken products, beef burgers, pork, seafood, rice dishes, congees, fresh vegetables, desserts, coffee, tea and other products. The Pizza Hut segment operates casual dining restaurant (CDR), which mainly offering multiple dayparts, including breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. The products include various types of pizzas, steaks, pasta, rice dishes and other entrees, appetizers, beverages and desserts. The Other segment mainly operate offline stores and e-commerce business, including Taco Bell, Lavasa, Little Sheep, Huang Ji Huang, COFFii&JOY, East Dawning and other different brands. The Company operates its businesses in the domestic market.
