Atico Mining Corporation is a Canada-based company, which is engaged in copper-gold mining and related activities, including exploration, development, extraction, and processing in Colombia and the acquisition, exploration and development of copper and gold projects in Latin America. The Company’s principal project is the El Roble mine, which is an underground copper, gold and silver mine. The property is located in Carmen de Atrato, Colombia. The El Roble, operating an underground mine, has processed approximately 3.5 million tons of copper-gold ore. The La Plata project is a gold-rich volcanogenic massive sulfide deposit. The Company’s La Plata project is located in the district of Toachi, approximately 100 kilometers southwest of Quito, Ecuador. The La Plata project consists of two concessions covering a total area of approximately 2,235 hectares.
