Glencore PLC said Friday that it is being investigated by the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland.

Glencore, a mining and commodities trading giant, said it was informed today by the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland that it has opened a criminal investigation for failure to have the organizational measures in place to prevent alleged corruption in the Democratic Republic of Congo, currently also currently under investigation.

The company said it will cooperate with the investigation.
