Under the auspices of the European Astronaut Club (Astronaute Club Europeen - ACE), Dassault Aviation, ArianeGroup, the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Air and Space Museum, kicked off the 14 th edition of the Student Aerospace Challenge.

This competition, which concerns a manned suborbital aircraft capable of transporting six passengers to an altitude of 100 km, offers university students the chance to study one aspect of the project (structures, propulsion, legal framework, medicine, etc.).

The Challenge will end in June 2020 with the 'Suborbital Day', a chance for students to present their work, with the best projects receiving awards.

This year, 23 teams (102 students) registered; they come from eight European countries that are members of ESA. Seven teams are representing French schools or universities. The Europeanization of the Challenge is well established for the third year running.
