The Canadian dollar weakened against the greenback on Wednesday, and the yield on benchmark government debt climbed.
The loonie was trading 0% lower at C$1.3695 to the greenback, or 73.02 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.3685 to 1.371.
Canadian government 10-year bond yields rose 0.3 basis points to 3.595%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt rose to 4.4767%.
U.S. June crude futures rose 4 cents to $102.22 a barrel on Wednesday.
