(Alliance News) - Intesa Sanpaolo has disbursed over EUR26 billion to support the Made in Italy brand in recent years, as highlighted by Anna Roscio during an event at the Salone del Mobile in Milan.

Specifically, as reported by Il Messaggero on Friday, the design and furniture sector is identified as experiencing strong growth with a marked export orientation. Current priorities are focused on innovation, energy independence, digitalization, and scaling up through advisory services and corporate finance tools.

During the event at Fiera Milano, where Intesa Sanpaolo has served as an institutional partner since 2017, an analysis by the bank's Research Department was presented. According to Stefania Trenti, the Italian furniture sector remains a pillar of national manufacturing, boasting a trade balance of EUR8.6 billion in 2025 and European leadership with turnover exceeding EUR26 billion.

The year 2025 concluded with a generally stable revenue outlook, despite some headwinds in exports, particularly regarding the US market.

Nevertheless, companies in the sector have demonstrated a robust capacity for geographical diversification, achieving positive results in markets such as Turkey and Canada, which are expected to become increasingly significant in the coming years.
