Export inspections of U.S. corn are up from the previous week, keeping inspections for the marketing year well up from this time last year.

In its weekly Grain Export Inspections Report, the USDA said Monday that corn inspections totaled 880,074 metric tons for the week ended Feb. 8, which is up from 645,494 tons last week. For the year, corn inspections are at 17.19 million tons, which is up 31% from the previous year.

Wheat inspections are also higher for the week, at 407,476 tons, up from 295,540 tons last week. Soybean inspections are behind the previous week, totaling 1.33 million tons, down from 1.75 million tons.

Mexico was the leading destination for wheat and corn, while China was the top destination for soybeans.

CBOT grains are higher Monday. Most-active corn was up 0.2%, soybeans 0.7% higher and wheat up 0.1%.
