Abbott Laboratories is under investigation by the Justice Department over conduct at its infant-formula plant in Sturgis, Mich., that led to a shutdown last year, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter. Attorneys with the Justice Department's consumer-protection branch are conducting the criminal investigation, the people said. Shares declined 3.4% in after-hours trading.


Boxed Inc. on Friday disclosed up to $20 million in new financing, which Chief Executive Chieh Huang said will provide the company with more flexibility to execute its strategic vision and the strategic alternatives process. Shares surged 55% in after-hours trading.


Helbiz Inc. said it is looking to address alleged illegal short selling of its stock that it believes has artificially depressed the stock price. Shares climbed 27% in after-hours trading, continuing the 65% gain during Friday's regular session.
