5th Planet Games A/S announced that The Vikings game has been in soft launch in all the Nordic countries, and several updates have been released to improve the game. The latest major update included events, which improved both monetization and player engagement in the game. However, the game is still not performing according to its expectations, especially related to the retention metrics. As a result, 5th Planet Games and its partner MGM have conducted a careful assessment of the game, where company have concluded that the game is not suitable for a global launch. Company do not find it possible to realize a profitable business case with the metrics obtained. The game will be removed from the App store in Nordics within the coming days and will not be launched in any other territories. However, at 5th Planet Games company see a potential opportunity in the developed game engine by further developing the core autobattler engine or combining the autobattler engine with another game mechanics and thereby creating a new hybrid game. 5th Planet Games has entered the production phase of LEGO Themed Match 3 Puzzle Mobile Game, and the project is proceeding as scheduled. As previously announced, the Berlin Studio has been approved for a subsidy funding by the German government related to the LEGO project. The plan is still to release the LEGO game in second half of 2022. Tintin Match is now led by a live ops team that maintain the game on Google Play and Apple App Store. The focus in the coming period is to find new revenue opportunities for the game on new platforms. Both Hugo Trollrace and Ronaldo Kick `n' Run are now entirely up and running on both Google Play and Apple App Store after technical updates. The next legacy game to be updated and released is Hugo Super skater. Company are halfway through the development phase and expect to release the game on both Google Play and Apple App Store in the second half of August 2021. The game is not live today, so the game will create a new revenue stream and expect to be cash-flow positive due to an expected organic reach and no UA-costs. The two new casino game projects in partnership with Play n' GO are proceeding as planned. Peter Wright won the World Match Play in Dart mid-July and participated afterwards in a combined recording and marketing event for the game which went well and will increase the quality and interest for the game when globally launched in October. The new Hugo casino game is now nearly completed and being polished, so the game is ready for the planned global release in September.
