Active Energy Group Plc announced the appointment ofKate Nga Nguyen as the Company's Managing Director of Southeast Asia. Kate will focus on the deployment and expansion of Active Energy's activities throughout Southeast Asia, including building commercial partnerships and establishing manufacturing centres in the region. Over the past two years, Active Energy has been expanding its presence in Southeast Asia.

The Company has continued to build its IP portfolio, most recently the CoalSwitchÒpatent was awarded in Malaysia, and the Company continues to proceed with additional patent applications throughout the region. Barron Hewetson's appointment as the Company's Chief Technical Officer in July 2023 has accelerated regional enquiries for future partnerships with Active Energy. The appointment of Kate Nga Nguyen as Managing Director of Southeast Asia is the next step as Active Energy develops regional commercial partnerships for product development and manufacturing.

As part of this strategy, the Company plans to open an office in Vietnam in 2024. Prior to joining Active Energy, Kate worked in Corporate Strategy and Development for Enviva Biomass US, where she analysed acquisition opportunities from the US, Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia and helped integrate large acquisitions. Before joining Enviva, she was a Senior Account Manager - M&A Team Lead at Vietcombank Securities Ltd., an investment banking firm headquartered in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Her responsibilities included advisory, strategic investment and financial trading, from origination, negotiation, and execution. Kate's role provided her with access to leading financial management funds from Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea, and Europe to present the Vietnamese investment opportunities. Kate's deep regional expertise and ability to expand a company's client base will be crucial to Active Energy as it develops manufacturing capabilities and partnerships throughout Southeast Asia.
