Airbus announced on Monday that it had reached an agreement to acquire Infodas, a German company specializing in the cybersecurity sector.

Based in Cologne, the company - which employs 250 people and generates annual sales of around €50 million - provides services to the public sector, notably in defense and critical infrastructures.

Airbus emphasizes that this acquisition is part of its strategic ambition to strengthen its cybersecurity activities in the interests of its customers.

In view of the exponential growth in cybersecurity threats and the increasing digitization and connectivity of its products and systems, cybersecurity has become an essential element in Airbus' development", explains the aircraft manufacturer in a press release.

The transaction - the financial terms of which have not been specified - is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
