Aptinyx Inc. announced the formation of its Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), comprising leading researchers and physicians in the areas of neuropsychiatry, neurology, and chronic pain. The SAB will work closely with the Aptinyx management team to provide scientific and clinical input into the investigation, characterization, and therapeutic application of the novel NMDA receptor modulation mechanism underpinning the company's platform and development pipeline. The inaugural cohort of SAB members include: Chadi Abdallah, M.D. – Associate Professor and the Beth K. and Stuart C. Yudofsky Chair in the Neuropsychiatry of Military Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome at the Baylor College of Medicine; Lesley Arnold, M.D. – Professor of Psychiatry & Behavioral Neuroscience and Director of the Women's Health Research Program at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine; Peter LeWitt, M.D. – Professor of Neurology and Sastry Foundation Endowed Chair in Neurology at the Wayne State University School of Medicine and Former Director of the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Program at Henry Ford Hospital; Gerard Sanacora, M.D., Ph.D. – George D. and Esther S. Gross Professor of Psychiatry at the Yale University School of Medicine, Director of the Yale Depression Research Program, and Co-Director of the Yale New Haven Hospital Interventional Psychiatry Service.
