(Tokyo, Japan - March 15, 2023) - Asahi Group Holdings, Ltd. announces that it has earned highest "Supplier Engagement Leader" rating in the Supplier Engagement Rating by global environmental impact non-profit CDP* for three years in a row.

CDP assesses performance of companies and organizations on supplier engagement using their responses to selected questions on governance, targets, scope 3 emissions, and value chain engagement in the CDP Climate Change questionnaire. Asahi Group has been recognized for its collaborative process with suppliers, including "Supplier CSR Questionnaire," a survey the Group introduced in 2015 to understand its suppliers' initiatives on ESG (environmental, social, and governance), assess their risks, and jointly resolve potential issues. CDP's 2022 Supplier Engagement Leaders includes the top eight percent of companies and organizations assessed worldwide.

At Asahi Group, one of the principles under the Asahi Group Philosophy is to "contribute to a sustainable society through our business." In addition, the Group updated the "Asahi Group Environmental Vision 2050" in February this year to accelerate its environmental initiatives further and maximize the impact on business and society. In the new environmental vision, the Group adopts "Planet Positive" as its vision of what Asahi Group would like the world to be like in 2050, which represents the idea of having a positive impact on the earth, and the Group aims to connect the gifts of nature to future generations. The Group sets Climate Change, Packaging, Agricultural Raw Materials, and Water Resources as the four pillars of its initiatives, and is working to achieve "Planet Positive," which aims to reduce the burden on the environment from its business to zero, and maximize value to the global environment through circularity.

With the aim of integrating sustainability into its management, Asahi Group has been working on group-wide sustainability by building a global promotion structure and setting targets. The Group adopts "Cheer the Future" to be its corporate statement, and aims to contribute to a sustainable society through its business.
