(Alliance News) - BasicNet Spa announced Tuesday that it has reviewed preliminary figures as of Dec. 31, a period in which consolidated sales stood at EUR396.8 million from EUR386.1 million in the same period in 2022, up 2.7 percent.

Aggregate sales in 2023 stood at EUR1.14 billion from EUR1.27 billion as of Dec. 31, 2022.

Ebitda stood at EUR58.1 million from EUR60.9 million in 2022, with growth in sponsorship and communication investments and on human resources, confirming the continued commitment to brand consolidation and development.

Ebit in the period is EUR41.1 million from EUR46.1 million, down 11 percent from 2022.

Net financial position is negative EUR139.1 million, improving from minus EUR141.7 million as of Dec. 31, 2022.

CEO Federico Trono commented, "After last year's record results, obtained also thanks to the increased scope of direct distribution, the group has further grown in terms of sales, consolidating the commercial success of its brands."

"Investments in communication have been intensified and new professionals have been acquired in the commercial and retail areas, with the aim of supporting development in the coming seasons. The results of 2023 are of satisfaction especially because they were obtained in a very complex economic and sociopolitical context. We will still work with the goal of continuing to grow."

BasicNet trades in the green by 1.6 percent at EUR4.70 per share.
