Travelers are visiting their favorite destinations again, and we have some new travel benefits for them.

Recently, Capital One opened its first Capital One Lounge at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), with additional Lounges coming to Denver International Airport (DEN) and Dulles International Airport (IAD) in 2022.

Capital One Lounges offer a modern space full of unique amenities that are intentionally designed to provide relaxation, rejuvenation and exploration from the moment visitors step through the door.

"When designing the new Capital One Lounges, we talked to customers and industry experts to understand what works and what doesn't in the current travel experience," says Jenn Scheurich, Head of Travel Experiences, Capital One. "We found that some travelers only have a few minutes to spend in a lounge before they have to get to their gates and they're looking for a space that allows them to take care of their needs efficiently while still getting a top-quality experience. On the other hand, travelers who have more time to spend are looking for more of a calm space in the chaos of the airport-a place to enjoy a moment of relaxation and luxury during their travel journey."

With Capital One Lounges, we created a unique space that fits people's unique needs-and those needs vary among the many types of travelers, from adventurers dashing in between connections to families or honeymooners with some more time to spare.

Capital One Lounges are one of several areas in which Capital One is elevating travel offerings to help customers get the most out of their experiences. This fall, Capital One introduced its new class of travel card Venture X,and Capital One Travel, a new, smarter travel booking experience.

Enhanced Travel

Capital One Lounge amenities will feature:

Ample, quiet working space with individual power outlets at every seat, a flight status display to keep you on schedule and complimentary high-speed WiFi. Our Lounges are also equipped with secure lockers with plenty of room for carry-on luggage and personal items.

A premium food and beverage experience.

Travelers in a hurry can quickly choose from our grab-and-go food stations with curated selections that use locally sourced ingredients like artisanal nut mixes, fresh fruits, juice shots and rotating warm selections like breakfast sandwiches in the mornings or fresh-from-the-oven cookies in the afternoons. Travelers can also enjoy coffee selections including cold brew and draft lattes on tap.

Those with more time to spare can sit down to enjoy a restaurant-quality dining experience with unique touches like craft cocktails on tap, local beers and hand-selected wines. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are also available.

Each Lounge's food and beverage experience will include local inspiration that celebrate the many offerings of each region. In DFW, this includes partnerships with breweries, coffee roasters and cocktail bars like specially brewed pilsner from 3 Nations Brewing Company, Frozen Irish Coffees from Nickel City, specialty blends from Cultivar Coffee Roasting Company and exclusive flavored cookies from The Cookie Society.

A cycling and yoga room, equipped with Peloton Bikes, hand weights and yoga mats. Perfect for those needing to work off some energy or stretch out before or after a long flight.

A relaxation room with eye covers, blankets and other luxury amenities to help you recharge away from the crowds.

A multi-faith room offering a private space for travelers to pray, meditate or reflect.

Shower suites with complimentary towels and luxury toiletries so there's no need for visitors to dig through their carry-on for essentials. Plus, separate, private nursing rooms for parents to tend to little ones.

And kid-sized tables and chairs for families!

"The health and safety of our customers and staff are our top priority," says Scheurich. "In addition to providing exceptional amenities, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for our customers as they start to travel again and will be implementing COVID-conscious cleaning protocols and standards within our lounges."

Immersed in Culture

The Capital One Lounge at DFW also features more than 55 pieces of original artwork from local artists from the region. The collection includes works across various mediums, including original works on wood, acrylic, silkscreen prints, paintings on canvas/paper, works with resin coatings, and textile pieces.

The curation reflects the unique tapestry of the Dallas-Fort Worth region, featuring diverse perspectives that will give travelers an opportunity to experience the region through its art.
