CENTRICA PLC - Bord Gáis Energy MD Catherine O'Kelly to take up UK-based leadership role in Centrica
- Dave Kirwan returns to Ireland as MD and will serve on Centrica Group Executive Committee
Bord Gáis Energy, supplier of energy and services to over 700,000 homes and businesses in Ireland, has today announced senior management changes. After two years leading the company, managing director Catherine O'Kelly will, after her impending maternity leave, take up a UK-based leadership role at global energy company Centrica, the parent company of Bord Gáis Energy. Ms O'Kelly has been managing director of Bord Gáis Energy since September 2018 and prior to that held senior positions within the Centrica Group.
The company has appointed Dave Kirwan to lead Bord Gáis Energy in the next phase of development. Having previously held this role, Mr Kirwan returns to Ireland having completed a successful term as managing director of the UK Home business at Centrica. In addition to his role at Bord Gáis Energy, Mr Kirwan will also serve on the Centrica Group Executive Committee.
Catherine O'Kelly said: 'I have been privileged to lead the team in Bord Gáis Energy over the past two years, a period of growth for the company. I am extremely proud of what our business has achieved as we have introduced new products and services to Irish customers, rewarded customer loyalty, and invested to serve our customers better.
