Chaman Lal Setia Exports Ltd. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended September 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was INR 1,671.94 million compared to INR 1,871.8 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 1,686.16 million compared to INR 1,875.3 million a year ago. Net income was INR 96 million compared to INR 160.75 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 1.86 compared to INR 3.11 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 1.86 compared to INR 3.11 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was INR 4,039.71 million compared to INR 4,310.99 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 4,057.06 million compared to INR 4,314.49 million a year ago. Chaman Lal Setia Exports Limited is an India-based rice trader and manufacturer. The Company is engaged in the business of milling and processing basmati rice. The Company exports to approximately 80 countries around the world, which included European, Middle eastern, American, Asian and many other markets. The Company has a manufacturing unit located in Karnal, Haryana, which has an installed capacity of approximately 12 metric tons per hour. The Company also has grading and sorting facilities in Amritsar, Punjab, and Kandla, Gujarat. The Company processes rice in-house and uses a parboiled, raw, steam process. The Companyâs brands include Maharani, Mithas and Begum basmati brands. It is also involved in selling non-basmati rice under its brand Green World Aromatic Rice. The Company also sells other products, such as Maharani Diabetics Rice and Basmati Rice Plus, and organic products, such as Maharani - Brown Basmati Rice.
