Cisco announced this week said it will cut 182 jobs at its Boxborough facility as part of its previously announced layoffs. Cisco has approximately 1,580 employees in Massachusetts, with a majority of those jobs in Boxborough. In August, the company said it would cut 6,000 jobs or 8% of its global workforce, but it had not identified how many cuts would take place in Massachusetts at the time.

The Boxborough jobs that will be affected range from software engineering and marketing to sales and administration. The cuts will take place on Oct. 10 or within 13 days from that date.
