Enel Distribucion Chile SA, formerly Chilectra SA, is a Chile-based company primarily engaged in the distribution of electric energy. It is also engaged in the distribution and sale of air condition and heating systems, kitchen equipment, as well as the provision of technical assistance. Chilectra’s electricity concession area covers over 2,110 square kilometers composed of more than 30 municipalities in the Metropolitan Region. The Company's has such subsidiaries as Chilectra Inversud SA, Empresa Electrica de Colina Ltda and Luz Andes Limitada. It also has interests in Ampla Energia E Servicos SA, Distrilec Inversora SA and Empresa Distribuidora Sur SA, among others. The Company operates in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Peru. It is controlled by Enel Chile SA.
