Eurocash S.A. (WSE:EUR) signed a preliminary conditional binding deal to acquire 50% stake in Arhelan Sp Z O O Spolka Komandytowa on March 11, 2021. Eurocash will first purchase 49% shares of Arhelan and will later buy an additional 1% interest. Post completion, Arhelan will operate within the franchise structures of the Delikatesy Centrum chain under the logo of Polish Arhelan Shops and Delikatesy Centrum. In 2020, Arhelan stores sported over PLN 500 million in sales. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval. Eurocash has applied to the Polish Competition and Consumer Protection Office (UOKiK) for an approval. The transaction is approved by the Polish Competition and Consumer Protection Office (UOKiK).
