AB Fagerhult (OM:FAG) signed an agreement to acquire We-Ef Leuchten Gmbh & Co. KG from the descendants of the founding family for €81 million.

AB Fagerhult (OM:FAG) signed an agreement to acquire We-EF Leuchten Gmbh & Co. KG from the descendants of the founding family for €81 million on December 23, 2016. The transaction is mainly financed with new credit facilities and up to 5% using existing Fagerhult treasury shares. In a related transaction, WE-EF LUMIERE sàrl signed an agreement to acquire remaining minority stake in Flux Lighting SARL for €5 million on December 23, 2016. In the year ending June 2016, WE-EF had consolidated sales of approximately €57 million. Stephan Fritzsche and Thomas Fritzsche, will remain as Managing Directors of We-Ef Leuchten Gmbh. Stephan Fritzsche will assume the position of Managing Director of the WE-EF Group. The deal is subject to approval of the German Competition Authority, Federal Cartel Office. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter 2017. The acquisition is expected to have a positive effect on the earnings per share during 2017 and forward.
