Forward Electronics Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2020. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 192.543 million compared to TWD 252.230 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 33.284 million compared to TWD 29.750 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 5.267 million compared to TWD 3.804 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.03 compared to TWD 0.02 a year ago. For the half year, sales was TWD 364.832 million compared to TWD 556.671 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 70.662 million compared to TWD 53.908 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 61.307 million compared to TWD 7.036 million a year ago. Basic loss per share was TWD 0.39 compared to TWD 0.04 a year ago.
Forward Electronics Co Ltd is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the production and sales of optoelectronics products, information appliance peripheral products and electronic components. The Company's optoelectronics products include backlight modules, liquid crystal display (LCD) modules and light emitting diodes (LEDs). The Company's information appliance peripheral products include game consoles, vehicle anti-collision systems, financial terminal systems, computers, wireless sensing devices and others. Its electronic components consist of switches, variable resistors, bit generators, sensors and others. The Company also provides lighting products. The Company distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets.
